Charity
is considered as third pillar in Islam. It is said that every individual should
perform charity and help needy during their life such that they can have a good
and prosperous life. Also performing charity defines the feature of an honest
and true Muslim and this is one of the reasons charity in Islam is given a lot
of significance and importance.
IMPORTANCE OF ISLAMIC CHARITY
There
are individuals around the world who are in dire needs of help and
support. Due to these reasons, helping
an individual in need or performing credible charity is being promoted in
Islam. For individuals who are financially stable they might not understand the
importance of their wealth, but such wealth might be crucial to the needy and
poor people. It is advised by Prophet that charity should be performed
regularly in life especially by the ones who are having the required assets,
both physically and financially to perform charity in all possible ways.
DIFFERENT FORMS OF CHARITY IN ISLAM
Different
forms of charity are practiced in Islam, however out of them the two most
important forms i.e. - Zakat and Sadaqah Jariyah. Zakat is all about contributing specified percentage of wealth to
needy and poor people. On the contrary, Sadaqah is about giving charity in any
form to people. Such charity can be made by either inducing smile on the face
of a person, giving him good advice, helping a person build home or in any
other way.
