Importance of Islamic education

School education forms that basis of outlook for a person’s life. It is during this stage that a person obtains all the vital lessons of life that in turn enable the person to successfully live a productive life as an adult. It is for this reason that any child born in a Muslim family should have access to the best Islamic education right from the start. A secular school is not fully equipped to provide a Muslim child with the appropriate education he or she deserves. For the full development of a Muslim child, it is of utmost importance that he or she receives the best Islamic education as it can help in proper development of the child’s mind and character.

Islamic education helps to instill foundations of Islam in a child.

Islam is not just a faith or a belief but a guided way of life that gives meaning and purpose to a Muslim individual. To make sure that a Muslim person grows up living his/her life in correct Islamic way, it is necessary that he/she practices Islamic way of life from the very beginning. A child is at his or her most impressionable age during the early years and absorbs information and knowledge just as they are taught. The heart of a child is innocent and capable of absorbing knowledge in a great way. For this reason, Muslim schools like Jamea Al Kauthar play a special role in fostering young minds with Islamic education. In these schools, students can learn about basic foundations of the Islamic faith like Fiqh, Hadith, Qur’an, Tauhid, the Arabic language, our Prophet(s) and History of Islam.
Islamic education helps to instill within a child with right knowledge and understanding of Islam
With Islamic education, it is possible to imbibe the right knowledge and values of Islam to the children. The parents and grandparents of a child might not always have all the appropriate knowledge about Islam as they might not have actually attended any formal Islamic education. Instead of following a wrong path or practicing or believing in something wrong, having formal Islamic education helps a child to understand the tenets of Islam from reliable sources. Certified teachers of Islam are given the authority to educate young children about all the aspects of Islam.
Special textbooks and materials are also used for this purpose.

Islamic education always keeps a child in close connection with Islam and its teachings.

Quite often, studying in a secular school makes it difficult for a child to have any connection with Islam. This is true for their lives both during and after school. On the other hand, being a part of a school that teaches Islamic education always helps to make sure that the student has Islamic ideas in his or her heart. In order to make sure that a child always remains close to the ideas taught by Islam, it is advisable that he or she gets all of his or her education from an Islamic school like Jamea Al Kauthar.
