The Basics Of Islamic Schools

The primary function of education is to equip young minds with the essential skills and knowledge that will enable them to play a significant role in the journey of their lives. Such is the objective of Islamic schools or Muslim schools in the United Kingdom. These schools give an opportunity for youngsters to study comprehensively and critically, with well-designed classical education that helps students develop a strong sense of belonging to the Muslim Ummah.

In Islamic schools, teachers nurture the student's personality towards developing the best moral conduct, healthy attitude toward humanity, and self-discipline following the teaching of the Quran and Sunnah. They further encourage students to develop themselves as responsible citizens by contributing to the well-being of society and humankind in general.

Teachers plan stimulating and interesting lessons using several techniques and activities. The curriculum is designed for students to understand the primary Islamic beliefs and perform the rituals practiced in Islam. The concept of education is deeply rooted in the teachings mentioned in the Holy Book of the Quran.

Perhaps, the teachings imparted in the Islamic schools have strong connections with the belief in the Almighty Allah, the guidance and teachings as bequeathed by the Prophets, the belief in fate, and the day of Judgement. Some primary concepts of Islamic education include Aqidah, faith, and social ethics that enlighten the students to face the world.

Education in Islam holds a prominent place. Students learn about wisdom, the development of good moral character, passion, and knowledge. Overall, Islamic education is all about educating a child with correct information. Hence, classes are designed to provide a comprehensive teaching atmosphere to hone a child mentally and spiritually.
